Pretty much what the title says. I signed up for Vox way back during the Beta test (thinking that I wanted try to get back into blogging and didn't want to either keep up my LiveJournal or make the effort to start a fully independent blog) and then promptly forgot to ever write a damn thing in here. Partly that's because I wasn't entirely happy with the aesthetics of the site - LJ (or at least MY LJ) seems to have a much less cluttered design - but mostly it was a function of not really having a strong desire to blog in general. Just this past week, though, I've started writing again and decided that while I'd love to put some of it online, I don't really want to do so in the old journal. After agonizing over my inability to decide on a name for Blogger, I remembered this site and decided that since I've already got the account, I may as well try it out here.
Hopefully, in the next few days, there will be actual content. I'm working on a half-finished thought piece dealing with questions of how to handle extremely anti-social middle school students specifically and how to balance the emotional needs to deeply traumatized individuals with the needs of larger groups in general. It comes out of my work in AmeriCorps, and looks nicely on track to actually get done soon.
